About Clair
My work is in helping others gain clarity, building confidence, and in exploring what’s possible — whether they’re navigating stress, change, or chronic pain.
With a background in the corporate world and lived experience of chronic pain, I bring both practical insight and empathy to my work. I have a specialism in Pain Reprocessing Coaching (PRT), helping clients understand how beliefs, values, and past experiences can shape their pain and responses, and work with them to reduce fear, rebuild trust in themselves, and move forward with control and confidence.
Alongside PRT, I work with clients to empower through coaching to help clarify what matters most, uncover potential, and take intentional steps toward the life or career they want.
Together, we explore goals, values, and patterns, creating space to make choices aligned with vision and strengths.
Outside of work, I live in Surrey with my husband, sons, and two lively Scottish Terriers.

Pain Reprocessing Coaching
Persistent or chronic pain can be confusing and limiting. Pain Reprocessing Coaching (PRC) helps us to understand how the brain and nervous system can contribute to ongoing pain and how it can be safely reduced.

What PRC Is
-
Neuroplastic pain recovery
-
Brain- and nervous-system-focused: Pain is often a misinterpreted signal, not a sign of ongoing injury.
-
Collaborative coaching: Explore beliefs, patterns, and experiences that may maintain pain.
-
Empowering: Learn to respond differently, regain confidence in movement, and rebuild trust in your body.
-
*All unexplained Pain must be reviewed by a medical professional before treatment can commence

What PRC Is Not
-
Not a quick fix or magic cure
-
Not a replacement for medical care
-
Not purely physical or motivational

Who can benefit
Anyone with persistent pain where medical investigations have ruled out ongoing injury. Many clients notice reduced pain, increased confidence, and improved quality of life.
PRC gives you practical tools and guidance to reclaim control over pain, move with confidence, and feel calmer in your body.

Studies into PRT

Effect of Pain Reprocessing Therapy vs Placebo and Usual Care for Chronic Back Pain (randomized clinical trial)
This clinical trial showed that participants receiving PRT had significantly greater pain reduction compared with placebo and usual care, with many reporting being pain‑free or nearly pain‑free at post‑treatment and maintaining benefits at one‑year follow‑up. NIH summary of PRT clinical trial results
The National Institutes of Health summarises key findings from research showing that about two‑thirds of people with chronic back pain reported being pain‑free or nearly pain‑free after PRT, and that brain activity changes support the theory that pain can be “unlearned.” Retraining the Brain to Treat Chronic Pain

First documented case series of PRT for chronic migraine
This emerging research reports large reductions in headache frequency and improvements in function among three individuals with chronic migraine who underwent Pain Reprocessing Therapy, showing promise for centrally mediated pain conditions beyond back pain. This analysis found that shifts in how people attribute their pain to brain processes were linked with pain reduction, supporting the proposed mechanism of action for PRT in chronic pain. Reattribution to Mind‑Brain Processes and Recovery From Chronic Back Pain (JAMA Network Open)
